
This is Yoga, the way it is meant to be experienced. Join us on Saturday, September 15th for a dose of morning Yoga on the beach. Sure you love your sticky mats, Krishna Das soundtrack, and buckwheat eye pillow as much as the next downward-dogger, but taking your Yoga to the beach is more of what the original yogis intended. This is your chance to relax and kick the day off right.
Our group will gather in the canteen area between 9:45 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. for a quick welcoming address from the dreamr crew, before we lead you to our very own private and secluded locale on the beach. We will then hone our breathing rhythms, learn specialized relaxation techniques and stretch our bodies to their physical limits until we are completely tranquil. We will run through basic Yoga poses and explain the health benefits and explain exactly why yoga has become such a mainstream part of western culture.
Once we have finished our routine, we will collect ourselves together and indulge in some truly healthy foods prepared for us by one of Halifax’s freindliest organic food providers, Humani-T Cafe. After all, could there possibly be a better way to start a Saturday morning than with a picnic on the beach? And if the weather permits it, bring a bathing suit so you can bask in the beautiful salt water of Rainbow Haven Beach to cool down after a great yoga session.
So grab a few friends and come out to experience a truly engaging and relaxing event that will be sure to provide you with some amazing memories and perhaps even get you hooked on the yoga lifestyle.
